We should get a .tk

It wont make us as popular as a .com would, but its something, isnt it?

Personally, I would prefer a .com domain and I think that would be more useful to the forum in the long-term. But if that is difficult for you, I'm perfectly happy to go with a .tk or .co.cc domain.

Lets take it one step at a time.

I vote .tk

We should get one cuz we can become more popular. A .com is helpful, but kind of expensive. We can become more popular, and show up on google more often!

It might be less helpful that .com, but it is a domain. So I vote .tk!

.tk should no longer be an option. Apparently, Google does not rank .tk domains very high in it's results because scammers use them. I strongly recommend we DO NOT go with .tk. It could be very damaging to our Google ranking and we would not get many members in the long term.

How much exactly is a .com? CC, if you provide us with this info, we may be able to change our minds.

A domain name on Forumotion is bought via the ACP using credits. A domain name for 1 year costs 1600 Credits. 2000 credits costs 14.24 GBP at the current exchange rate.

Personally, it is worth it especially considering how cheap they are.

i didnt know what to choose(because im lazy and didnt want to choose an actual choice) so i chose .tk

Personally, a ".Com" domain will be completely worthless. The chances of someone finding the forum via a search engine such as Bing, Google, Yahoo, Ect. would be very very low. Most forums have a great site to have to go along with it. I'd say our best bet is to just stay the way we are and attract users via Youtube, Twitter Ect.

I say keep it the same, to much fuss to change it.

I'd say a tk.

FOR HEAVENS SAKE WE CANNOT GET A TK! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE! Google is EXCLUDING .tks from their search results, which means are ranking will VANISH. It will be extremely damaging for the forum so I strongly suggest we don't get a .tk

Really? I just got a .tk for my site, but luckily I deleted it because It wasnt working right. Also, I think we should try to save up for a .com and while we are waiting stay the way we are.

wouldn't recommend .tk, google is hiding .tk domains.

i use .tk only for my email and stuff.

How about we all pitch in a bit to help get a .com?

We could do a daily thing once, twice or even three times a year to help keep our .com domain.

Maybe we can do this in the future IF we get more popular?
