Chapter 1: Getting Started

Hey there! Welcome to the Club Penguin Forum! If you're reading this, you're probably new here. This guide has been created to introduce you to our wonderful community!

In this forum, you will make new friends, join a community of Club Penguin players, and generally, have fun!

Before you start doing anything, you need to go over the rules. Following the rules will make you a nice and respectful user, who probably wont have any problems with moderators. However, if you do not follow the rules, chances are you will be banned. You can read the rules [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Chapter 2: Posting

Now that you've learned the basics, let's start posting. But wait a minute. How do you post? It's easy! All you need to do, is find a Topic that looks interesting to you, click it, and then click the ( Post Reply ) which is next to the Topic's Name.

What is a Topic? A Topic ( Thread ) Is a collection of posts, displayed from oldest to latest. A topic's title needs to summarize the content of the topic. You can create new topics, by clicking the ( New Topic ) button, which is always next to the ( Post Reply) button!

Now that you've learned how to post and make a topic, the question is, where do you post? Each topic has to be the right category. For example, if you have a cool CP story in your mind, you can post it on the ( CP Stories ) Category. Games can be posted on the ( Posting Games ) category, and so on. Categories can be also used to find topics of a certain asset.

Chapter 3: The Forum

Great, now you're all set to start posting! But wait a minute! We're not done yet! You might notice that there are some users who have certain powers and advantages than the other users. These people are called moderators. A moderator 's job is to keep the forum safe and to see if the users are following the rules.If you have a problem, feel free to tell a moderator about it! A moderators job isn't easy. It's really hard work watching everyone's moves! However, if you WANT to be a moderator, maybe you can apply at the ( Rules & Announcements ) Page.

Private Message: A private message is a message you send to another user, which only you two can see. ( You can also sent visitor messages, which are public, though.) Here are the steps of sending a private message, by King Kane:

You can access your PM's in the icon where it says "most of the time" , NO PM. To send a PM, press that button, and press New PM. Be sure to write the username of the person you're sending to in "Username". Type your message, then press send. It'll be sent.

Site Points: Site Points are important stuff. You earn site points just by posting! The better quality you post has, the more points you earn. Site Points are used as a currency here! You can buy awesome stuff with them, like a Golden Membership, Name Coloration, or even a private rank! Access the shop [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

#3: Try to get a position in Ccpenguin's Graphic Shop (If Available)
#4: Try being User of the Month

User of The Month: A user who respects the rules, has many friends, and posts quality topics has good chances to win the Penguin Of The Month award! If you're elected Penguin of The Month, you get the whopping price of 500SP!

Ranks: When you reach a certain amount of posts, you get a new rank! For example, when you start, you're a newbie penguin. After reaching 25 posts, you're a young penguin, and so on! I won't spoil it for you, so keep posting to see the following ranks!

In the first Beginner's Guide, learning about the rules and posting is a must for new members. I'm pretty sure that you have gotten a number of posts and SPs. Now, for the more advanced stuff.

Chapter Four: How are SitePoints used?

SitePoints, abbreviated to SP, you think may be worthless. But they can be used! Signature allowance, name colouring, pet food and power, etc. Here are some examples and prices (in SPs) from Maygirl's Forum shop. Also, FAQs as well.

GOLD MEMBERSHIP INFO

Gold membership grants any member who purchases it entrance into the GOLD section of the forum. It costs 700 SitePOINTS

SIGNATURE PERMISSIONS:

Gives you access to a signature 600 SP's. Normally you aren't allowed a signature, not any more!

Personalized Ranks:

These are little things where you can choose what is written underneath your name, if it follows the rules that is. 900SPs

If Maygirl's nice and in a generous mood she will hold a special sale for whatever reason.

FAQ

Why are colours so expensive!!??
Because I don't want everyone to have them.
For gifting what are messages?
Something you write to the person you are gifting, which is why it is PM'd
I payed for something, but I haven't received it yet. WHY???
I first take away the SP's you paid then I give you your item(s) and if you asked for a reciept, I PM it to you but I'm not online 24/7 so it may take a while.
I bought something that is free to mods then I became one, what happens?

REFUNDS:
Refunds are only available through mod promotions and you bought something that are free to them you get refunded HALF PRICE. If you purchased a colour you get refunded the full 1000 SP's wether or not it was a sale, plus an extra 200 for closure.
If you change your mind you get 0% of a refund so your going to have to save up all over again!

Gifting

You can gift SPs to anyone for any reason. So long you don't get a second account and gift the SPs to yourself.
Rules:
SPs will be deducted by you
You can't gift more that you have
You can only gift 3 times a week
Don't demand SP's

Note:
Moderators/Super Mods
In the shop moderators get all privilleges except name colour for free and personalized ranks. Moderators cannot purchadse name colouring because it will confuse newcomers.

Training Moderators
Training mods get some free permissions. They get gold membership but not signature permissions/name colouring. Like Mods/S-Mods, they cannot purchase name colouring.

Chapter Five: Notes and Fun Facts

*In posting games you do not get SPs as it does not makes sense to post things like " 2 doughnuts", etc.

*Contests and Parties are held every month. Enter towin prizes!

*Make quality posts/threads, like this thread to gain more SPs. Make posts more descriptive to earn more SPs. Spam threads and posts to gain SPs may result in action being taken against your forum account.

*IP checks are held every once in a while. Refrain from using proxy servers if you use them all the time, as this may lead the staff to suspecting you are hiding something. If let's say you do not know why a super-mod is asking you about it and you don't know what he/she is talking about, give them a reasonable reason, and be honest and polite. If you refuse to give a good reason, action may be taken against your account for security reasons.

*Ccpenguin8's graphic shop is the official graphic shop of the forum and our Youtube Channel. There are many other shops too, have a look in the Graphics forum to see them!

* Our forum has an official newsletter run by Maygirl herself. It provides updates on the forum, plus user of the month

* If you get into an argument, end it quickly. Be careful not to violate any rules.
