Too many SP's

It has recently come to my attention that the amount of SP's my account has, has increased a LOT. I mean, in all of the sudden I have 43,000 SP's??? And I've noticed that with others users too, who haven't made too many posts, but still have 20,000/30,000 SP's!
I don't know if there's anything wrong, but for one thing, the prices on the forum shop should definitely be changed.

Same thing here! I was about to post that! I mean, I have over 50,000 SP's, and I wasn't even here for almost 6 months!

Looks like it was a glitch. Gotchee's is now a 1373 SP, and Kane has 1750 SP.

Yes, as I now have 6161 instead of over 61 thousand. This is not a glitch, because we've had stable SPs for months on end. I can only assume that Maygirl has read this message and divided all our SitePOINT balances by 10.

On the one hand, we now no longer have the problem of too many SitePOINTS, but on the other hand, all our hard work and posting (for me over 1.4 thousand posts) is now worth a tenth of that. So, my 1426 posts are now worth 142.6 posts under the old SP allocation system.

I hope that this change sorts out the too many SPs problem, although it will mean that some of us who got used to having multiple thousand SPs will have to change our spending habits.
