1 month of Club Penguin Blog!

Hi everyone,

On the 1st of January 2013, Club Penguin Blog launched. It's hard to believe it's been a month already! The site looks like a different site compared to launch. Here's a comparison...


The top is from v0.3.4 (Closed Test version; identical to v1.0 which was the launch version) and the bottom is from v1.3.3, the most current version.




I'm currently working on another slight improvement to the design which is a background.

On behalf of the Club Penguin Blog Team, I'd like to thank everyone for supporting Club Penguin Blog! The site is doing really well, considering it's advertising hasn't begun yet, but it will soon! (Thanks, Ccpenguin8!)

One month really isn't that big of a milestone. It would make more sense not to celebrate until you are open for 3 months, then 6, then 12. Or, when you get a certain amount of hits.

Well, Sindar has put lots of work into this, so I think we should have a chance to celebrate. We're already past 1,000 hits (I think), so you can just pretend we're celebrating that if you want.

Well, Sindar has put lots of work into this, so I think we should have a chance to celebrate. We're already past 1,000 hits (I think), so you can just pretend we're celebrating that if you want.

But 1,000 hits isn't that much to celebrate, either.

1,500 is literally 500 more that 1000. I was thinking more along the lines of 10,000 50,000 100,000 500,000 and then a million.

I really like the design. Sindar, how long had you been working on the site before the official grand opening?

Well, actual development started in October, but there were discussions before then, and several staff tests before launch. I think that answers your question.

Ccpenguin8 is correct about the development time before launch, the current design went from concept to live in one day. (I worked on the site for over 4 hours straight)
