Surveys on CPCP!

Yeah, it may sound weird, but it's true. Today, I went to check CPCP as usual, to see if there's anything new, and here's what popped up when I tried to access the first post:

The very same thing happened when I tried accessing the other new posts, and some other old ones, too.

Jeez, this is just outrageous. Surveys in file hosting sites are still annoying, but surveys on a CP blog? Do they really expect the majority of their readers ( Which are 7 year olds ) to complete offers using their cell phones? This is OUTRAGEOUS.

I really hope that the ClubPenguinBlog won't have flaws like that....

Hi Gotchee,

I can confirm that Club Penguin Blog is completely advert-free, so you can enjoy the site without any pesky adverts in the way.

I agree that it is ridiculous that you need to do a survey, when I checked today you had to DOWNLOAD shovelware. It's ridiculous, especially considering Club Penguin's target audience is 6-14. Thankfully, CPB is much better

As Sindar just said, ClubPenguinBlog.co.uk and its affiliates will run on an ad-free policy. We do have methods installed to generate the money required to pay for server costs (mostly donations), but there are absolutely no plans to include surveys/advertisements. There are some ads here on the forum, but the revenue goes to Forumotion and we can't turn them off - sorry.

The reason why they're doing it is because they've grown up - they don't want to 'write' for free anymore. So, they set up a survey system to make money out of it all.
