When the Mods Poll an Appeal..
A couple weeks back,I was charged with spamming (It was actually a warning only )on the summer vacation thread, since I quad-posted. I appealed. Then, it was taken to the mod poll.
It was 2 to 1.
Then, after lots of .......... it became 2 to 2. And I was set free.
I don't think the charger should vote in this mod poll. They have a small bias against you, since they started the charging. I think the remaining mods should vote, and not the accuser.

Re: When the Mods Poll an Appeal..
I am about to go all out and judge the mods okay? ;D
1) The mods have nothing to do, so they're all like "Oh he posted 4x times about a party, gotta report him".. Not like its a big deal. Do people un-follow you on twitter for tweeting non-stop? No.
2) You posted "Updates:" The only way for people to get updates is to get a new post, since editing a post is pointless, since it doesn't update the timer in the recent posts list.
3) I dont think Double posting, bumping, or short posts should be a reason to warn a user of rule breaking. I surf 2 of the largest forums in the world, and people can do all three of those things.. (i.e 50 post tutorial, and follow ups.. "Bump" .. "Bump"..)
4) Kane, dont worry about it, im sure Cc8 will have some reason for it, but I think my reasoning here is very reasonable.
Hope you get some clarity

Yeah, but I don't think the accuser should vote in the mod poll, since it'd be biased.
Re: When the Mods Poll an Appeal..
If you don't want the moderator whose actions are appealing against to be involved in the appeal, you should've appealed the way that is described in the Club Penguin Forum Rules, which is informing the Administrator (Maygirl) not the moderator involved.
I always advise against posting about your appeals in public, because you can contact Maygirl directly via email on the Contact page which will be far more effective.
@Breakthrough This information is public anyway, so I'll counter your points with this information, because I feel it is unfair to portay Ccpenguin8 as a bad person:
1) The mods are not corrupt; Ccpenguin8's actions were reasonable, there are occasions when pressing the edit button probably would've been a more appropriate action. Comparing Club Penguin Forum to Twitter is like comparing apples to oranges; they are completely different. I think it's very unfair to portray Ccpenguin8 as a moderator who is out seeking for ways to ban you, when he is the complete opposite. He is one of the nicest people I know, and no he does not enjoy warning you.
2) Generally, the minimum time requirement after the latest post before the original poster can bump is 24 hours. In the thread he quadruple posted in, King Kane double posted after waiting less than half an hour before posting again on 3 occasions, triple posted after waiting for 3 hours and 10 minutes before posting the second post in a row, and an hour before posting the third. He also double posted on one occasion after less than 10 minutes, and he quadruple posted without waiting that long. You don't need to bump your thread up that often, considering the forum's size.
3) CPF isn't the only forum who don't like spamming (quadruple posting, looking at the thread Ccpenguin8 ignored your double posts)
(All of the following forums are owned by different people and are far bigger than CPF. CPF is quite relaxed; Toontown Central and Toontown Nation in particular are much more strict than we are.)
Toontown Central are similar:
These will be removed at the discretion of the mod staff:
Wizard101 Central:
Toontown Hall:
Double Posts and Thread Bumping - There is a forum add-on in place that prevents the posting of double posts within 24 hours of each other.
Toontown Nation:
26.0.0 Spamming and Irritating Posting Styles
"Spam" refers to posting identical, irrelevant, hard-to-read posts that make it difficult to comprehend what a user is attempting to state. Mass PMing people you do not know or who have not invited you to PM them, posting for the sole purpose of boosting your post count, excessive bumping of threads, double posting and one or two letter replies (i.e. ok, LOL, Yes, agreed, nods) is also considered as spam.
26.0.1 An original poster is allowed one bump per twenty-four (24) hours after the last post was created in their thread.
4) Yes, don't worry about it! I was a major rule-breaker on Toontown Central (I've been warned 3 times and received every ban until the Permanent IP one. If I violate the rules again, that will happen. )

Those arent the larger forums I was talking about.. The forums have 500 + members online 24/7. Annd.. everything I've said stands true. Re: When the Mods Poll an Appeal..
I thank Sindar for his support and King Kane and Breakthrough for their very kind comments and feedback - it is lovely to hear everyone's politely-expressed opinions.
What I will say, concerning Breakthrough's comments, is that in most cases, mods have TOO MUCH to do - it'd be a dream if there was no work to do, trust me.
I will address your appeal concerns in a moment, but I'd just like to explain the case itself, since the whole thing appears to be going public now. I was actually planning on just letting it slide, so to speak, and taking no action (that's what I do most of the time, but precisely because I take no action you don't notice ), but then a while later I was talking to Sindar whilst looking through some archives, and I remembered that someone had been infracted for a different type of spam, and that someone else has been banned for it, among other reasons. A perma ban, to be precise. With absolutely no offence to you, it'd be very unfair and biased against those people for me to give that sort of punishment to them, and then not do anything in your case just because I knew you were just trying to help update your thread. Therefore, I went over the facts again, had a cup of tea, and thought about it. I then read the thread a second time, and talked to Sindar. After that, I decided that all I would do was give you a 'first offence warning'. That's exactly the same as if I say to you, "Hi, quadruple posting could be considered spam, which is against the rules. Please read them again, and try not to do it next time! " except I jot it down in my notepad ('logged in our records'), tell the other mods next time I see them, and send a pre-written formal-looking PM to the user (you, in this case). Most times, we all forget about it, move on, and it's done. It's never talked about again, and we all go on living our happy lives. It seems in this case, I was wrong and your appeal was indeed accepted and it was reversed. Even so, please understand that, as BT said, I always have a clear reason and purpose in my head when I do issue punishments, which is not very often. Are you happy now?
As for the appeal message, please don't worry about that! Seriously, it's just a pre-written message which I wrote months ago and copy-and-paste into the PM because I personally feel you have a right to know that you're allowed to appeal.
All that means is that you can either speak directly to me about the issue (some people prefer that, and I include that because I do try to be fair and to give people lots of options) or, if you feel more comfortable, you can speak to an administrator in confidence. If you speak to me, which you chose to, then I handle the appeal personally and I set up a thread and poll in the MDF, and present my side of the story. If you speak to Maygirl, I'll stay out of it and I won't participate in the appeal.
Please try to remember that moderation is just a volunteer job that I do at weekends and in my spare time, and what I say or do in an official capacity as a super mod doesn't represent what I personally, both as Ccpenguin8 and a 13-year-old, think of you. For instance, I have given infractions, and in certain cases even bans, to my friends on here. That doesn't mean I don't like them or hate them -- indeed, I feel it's my duty as a friend to tell them when they've done something wrong, and help them to correct their mistake so they don't accidentally do it again and get into serious trouble.
At the end of the day, it's just a job. If you don't want me to handle appeals or vote on them, don't direct your appeal to me.
If you have any problems, let me know and I'd love to talk to you about it. You may think I'm a cruel, corrupt and biased moderator (well, I hope not), but as a person and as a friend
I'm always here to have a chat. (Or, of course, you can speak to Maygirl in confidence)
Thread locked, and I'm happy to call this case closed.

Re: When the Mods Poll an Appeal..
@Breakthrough - They are very large forums (except TTN), it doesn't matter if they are the same you are talking about. Wizard101 Central in particular is a huge forum; it is an official fansite and it is recognised by the developers and it has 700 users online at night.
In your opinion it stands true. I don't see why you need to update your posts or bump in less than an hour on a few occasions.
I'll inform CCP that he forgot to lock it.

But seriously, you're not cruel. I'm just saying the accuser shouldn't vote in the mod poll.

I kind of assumed you wanted it to since you requested that your appeal be handled on a public chatbox with members of the public reviewing the case. Oh well, sorry about that.
Anyway, locked. Thanks for the reminder.
