ANOTHER Marvel Party...

I am so disappointed that Club Penguin announced another Marvel party - this is Club Penguin, not Club Ad! Club Penguin has its own superheroes, Shadow Guy and Gamma Gal. Why can't the party use them instead of Marvel superheroes? Club Penguin claims to be 'ad-free'. How is the Marvel party not an ad for Disney's other stuff? We might aswell have a Toontown party or a Pixie Hollow party!
Club Penguin Blog will still have cheats though for the party when it arrives on the 25th of April.

Good points, but it isn't 'advertising' as such, because it's just letting you dress up your penguin as characters - it's part of the gameplay. Also, SG and GG aren't completely dead - there are some decent comic strip books about them that have been released by CP (I make it my business to buy practically every CP book on sale).

Another Marvel party? Hmm... it does sound like advertising, but Disney has partial rights to Marvel ( The Avengers ), do they not? As long as they use characters from The Avengers, they are not really advertising, are they?

Actually, in 2009, Disney bought Marvel altogether. I would really have wanted a DC takeover, but eventually I realized why that can't happen easily; because Disney owns both Marvel and Club Penguin, so they practically don't even need Marvel's permission; they can just do it and slap on the copyright for Marvel. But I was pretty happy about it, especially with me asking my dad to get me a 1 month membership and getting a 6 month membership instead.

I wish CP wouldnt have another one! I honestly hated the one last year. CP is supposed to be for Boys and Girls, and most girls dont like superheros! I wish they would have like another water party or winter fiesta! Those were much better.

Anyway, I agree that the old parties were better, but as I said in a recent post - it helps their business. If the different parts of Disney advertise/'sponsor' each other, it generates more revenue for them. I'm just hoping there'll still be a Music Jam, Fair, Halloween Party and Holiday Party this year.

Well, the previous marvel party wasn't that bad, but I must say that I don't really care about what kind of parties CP has, since I rarely log in these days.

It feels like these two are just being shoved at the back. One question - why did we need the Avengers in the first place? Was their any other reason for them other to advertise?

No. Put simply. Why can't we get something SG & GG related again?
