Re: Question...
Maygirl2 = Forum creator, so naturally she would be an administrator.
Sindar Toffe = Well, Sindar actually skipped the application process completely. We felt that since we are the new CPCP, we should have an old CPCP mod on board for advice etc. and he definitely hasn't let us down.
Ccpenguin8 = Ah, yes. Et moi. Back in the days when there were only about 10 of us, Maygirl was looking for someone to fill a Moderator position. Out of the few members we had, I had the most moderation experience and I succesfully passed the internal screening proccess/vote, so I was appointed and I have been a Super Moderator and Public Relations Officer ever since.
Mango Smango = In around October, Breakthrough and Boo492 (the current TMs at the time) resigned. Maygirl opened up a Trainee Moderator position. The staff took THREE WEEKS to review all the applications (since they were all equally good) but Mango eventually won the final vote.
At the moment, any member who has not received a ban of one month or more (well, strictly speaking it isn't policy, but if you've received a 1 month ban we're probably not going to choose you) may apply for a moderator position (if we have one available). The staff will have a private internal vote and will reach a decision based upon the application quality, the activeness of the candidate, the past experience of the candidate and the general qualities, skills and personalities that they have to offer.
On the 1st January 2013, if all goes to plan the staff operation to seperate the forum entirely from CPCP will be complete. Even though we are seeking to become independent, we do like working with past CPCP mods and if we have a position open we are inclined to consider them for it.
Well, I think that pretty much answers your question. Locked and moved to Forum Support.
