Why are new rank posts getting locked?

Why are the new rank posts getting locked? They never did on CPCP? Totelyawesome's 100 and my 200 just got locked! Can a mod please help me?

I think its because they are kinda pointless!
If someone reached 100 posts, for example, and would like to announce it, he could add something like ( this is my 100th post!!) at the bottom of the post.

Well, it wasn't me. I honestly don't know what happened, but I'm sure there is some reasonable explanation so I'll ask.
For the time being, staff decisions are final, so I suggest we discuss this in private. I'm not saying that I will unlock these threads, but I will ask why they were locked.
