PC or Mac?

Post  Sindar Toffe on 11/8/2013, 8:37 pm

 PC or Mac?

I personally prefer Mac because:

  • they are better quality
  • Apple Customer Support is far better than any PC OEMs.
  • I like Mac OS X.

However, if I was into playing all of the latest demanding PC games, I'd build a PC. Macs are more than capable to play the games I like to play though, so I'm getting my first Mac this Christmas! (I can't wait, I got my last computer when I was 8!)

Can look different, Macs are only the models Apple release. Windows has Acer, Samsung, Sony etc.
Connects to XBOX Live, Windows Phone and other Microsoft Products.

Why Mac Sucks:
No Customer Service (My iPhone got a virus when I had one and they actually told me to f**k off and buy a new one.)
Hard to Upgrade.
Barely any features.
Overpriced
Low quality (crashes on any non-apple machine too.)
Only comes on machines prebuilt by apple
Low Specs.

High quality - Only on custom-built or highest-end pre-built machines. The low-end machines are shocking, but Apple's lowest-end Mac is far better than them.

No customer service - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] . That doesn't sound like 'no customer service'. Was your iDevice jailbroken? I've never heard of an iOS virus; Apple's app approval policy is strict.

Low specs - Perhaps for gamers, but gamers tend to build their own PC instead. The GTX 680MX isn't a poor graphics card for many people; it can play a few games quite well (if you install Windows). Not all PCs are high spec either, just like some Macs aren't amazing in terms of specs.

Anyway, enjoy your PC. I don't think PCs 'suck' because, for some people, they are great! For me though, a Mac would be more suitable for me - Macs are more than capable to play the games I like to play so I think they're a good option.

I like them both because:

                                          I have them both.

they both have everything I need.

As long as I have a computer I am fine.

Windows

+ Gaming
+ User friendly
+ Cheap (Cost me $80 last weekend)
+ Can buy OS Separately

- Indian Customer Service (Sorry Kane!)
- OEM Policy is stupid.

@Sindar

1) Indian customer service > Nothing : P

2) 680MX isnt that great.. Its a Low end card.. "Chip". I got a Radeon 7770 Ghz edition, which isnt that great either, but out performs the 680MX (Clocked at 720 Mhz). Any prebuilt PC made by Apple, HP, Dell ect. arent made for Gaming.. unless you buy a Alienware, Cyberpower, iBUYPower Ect. (Which is just a rip-off, build your own)

3) Yes I want a MacBook Air for college, but I'll probably look at a windows laptop if "Windows 9" Is out by then.. and the price isnt outrageous like the Air.

Mac.

It's easier to use, them interface is better, they're faster than the AVERAGE PCs and I just like the, more. PCs are very complicated in my opinion. Razz  I just dislike them. And Macs may be pricey, but if someone has money to spare, why shouldn't he get one?

1) Apparently, Apple has no customer service but is ranked number 1 by customers. What is wrong with Indian people? That's just racist! They're trying to help you, and give you the best customer service they can.
2) Question It is NVIDIA's 2nd best mobile card (just behind the 780M - not counting dual graphics cards.) Scroll down to gaming benchmarks.

3)The Air is overpriced? How is it? There are PCs that are actually more expensive by quite a large amount for worse specs.

Let's avoid potentially racist and hurtful  comments.

Concerning the thread, I'd go with Mac.

Anyway, thread locked on user request, apparently pending a 'racism' investigation.
