Don't Worry, it's nothing bad!

On 20th of December 2012, The New Club Penguin CP will officially become Club Penguin Forum, or CPF for short. To accompany this, Club Penguin Forum will be linked to a blog; Club Penguin Blog! Club Penguin Blog is a modern website – not one of those free ones. I can tell you that it looks great so far – we are launching Club Penguin Blog on the 1st of January 2013.

That means we are accepting authors. We don’t know if we will have authors yet, but it is quite likely that we will. There is currently 2 spots open for Authors.

If you are interested, please apply at clubpenguinblog.webeden.co.uk/apply. We don’t have our own domain yet, but just before the site launches we will.

Just to clarify: we are not updating the forum software. We are just linking it to a blog, and renaming it. Before all of you pack your bags and start to leave, we're still carrying on our main mission - to preserve the CPCP community. In other words, we still are, essentially the new CPCP, it's just we're renaming ourselves to help promote the forum, gain new members, and make the forum more professional and independent.

Anyway, this will be an awesome project, and I hope you're all excited as we are for this. The staff have been working extremely hard on this, especially Sindar, who's doing (practically) all, or at any rate most, of the behind-the-scenes work. As a result of all this, I'm going to be slightly less active, because I need to concentrate on informing other forums and their staff about this change and making everything go well.

All the Staff are going to contribute to this amazing and quite ambitious project. I can confirm that Club Penguin Blog is going really well; it will most likely be finished by the end of November at this rate!

Great news. Its high time we become independent of CPCP. I won't be applying, because I would be rather innactive, as I don't really play CP anymore.

It's great that you're all excited about this. Your support has got us over 4000 posts, and 64 members and counting, and now it's getting us our very own blog, and independence from CPCP. I'm proud.

That sounds exiting... I think that the new name will be great. Anyway, Good Luck with the update!

EDIT: I might apply to be an author, but I am sometimes busy so I don't know yet. And, are you looking for any coders or designers? Because If you are I know a little bit about html because of my own blog. And, If I was an author, could I maybe just post one topic, like club penguin blog posts or sneak peeks or something like that? Because I usually can't stay up till midnight to post the normal updates. I can't wait for it to open!

Yes, it's up to you. Staff members, providing they meet the requirements, are usually automatically offered a position, so don't worry. There's more details in the MDF, Mango.

The forum staff's primary objective (well, at any rate one of them) is to ensure that all posts are quality and abide by the board rules, and that all members also abide by the board rules. We have a minimal banning rate. I can assure you that all the statisics are completely legitimate. Thank you.

Yes, this is a very big step for our forum, and we're all very proud of it. The staff have been working around the clock to make this happen, and the members have been really, really loyal, supportive, friendly and awesome in this (thanks guys). Thanks for your support.

First of all, I'm not picking a fight or trying to spark a flame war but posts that are actually counted in the Posting Games section AREN'T legitimate (I'm emphasizing the aren't). King of the Hill, Count 30 Doughnuts beforte the mods eat them etc, are not real posts.

Secondly, banned members aren't legitimate members. Because they are banned, they can no longer contribute to any of the forums statistics (activity, posts etc.) so really, they don't count.

Minus the Posting Games posts and the banned members. THey give you different statistics. And be honest with me. Banned members, Posting Games posts and other things like these don't count towards the final statistics. These aren't quality posts and active members.

Well, this is going to be my last post about this Medicinal, because if I carry on talking about it, we're at risk of going completely off-topic, and violating S1R2.

1) The staff are working to turn off post count in Posting Games. Posting Games do not count toward your SitePOINT balance, and as far as I know, Maygirl has succesfully stopped Posting Games counting toward your post count.

2) We have about four currently banned members. That's it. We still have 60+ 'legitimate' members, even if you subtract four.

Now, let's keep to the topic, please.
