Notice about spam Empty Notice about spam

Post  Ccpenguin8 8/8/2012, 4:22 pm

It has recently come to my attention that some people (not mentioning names) are making spam posts such as double posting, posting things that they should have edited their original post for, pointless posts (e.g just saying thank you) that are often short and unnecessary etc. etc. Editing your posts reminding you not to spam, deleting spam posts and merging/moving threads wastes a lot of both my time and the time of the staff in general. Please guys use the thanks button, correct your grammar and don't post when you either don't have anything to say or what you do say is off-topic, pointless or irrelevant.

Most of you aren't spamming, but I would just like to remind those who are. From this moment on, anyone who spams WILL be given an infraction. I'm really, really sorry about this guys but I love this forum and I don't want it to become overridden with spam.

We still have the thanks glitch thing, so we can't really use the button. Oh, and STOP SPAM everyone!

I know there is the glitch, but if you right-click on the thanks button and click copy link, you can follow the link and manually thank them.

We all have different opinions on what spam IS. It really depends on the type of forum. On this... quality is everything. Editing a post... is spam? Or saying "sorry if this is spam" is spam?

SPAM = Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. Anything that is pointless, off-topic, advertising, double posting, extremely low quality posting etc. or that are Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages count as spam.
