Musical instruments

Post  Ccpenguin8 on 9/10/2013, 11:15 pm

Do you guys play a musical instrument? If so, what? (this includes singing)

I play the piano and I can do cool noises on the guitar. Razz

Also, really ancient and medieval instruments don't count, but I'm sure we'd all love to hear how you acquired one!

Oh my...
My dad works for a record label and my mom is a singing teacher. I sing, play guitar, bass guitar, the piano, trumpet, drums, and cello.

I think that's slightly too much. I'm thinking of learning how to play the saxophone though, now that it's seems that everyone plays it.

Wow, that's impressive. I can never seem to blow hard enough for the saxophone. Razz

Anyway, piano is easy to learn if you practice. If you have a permanent marker or something, you can write the letters of the notes on the piano keys, if it'd help you to remember it. (WARNING: Don't do this if you have a very expensive or antique piano - that really won't go down well)

You have a very musical family, from the sounds of things. Razz

It's almost inspirational to know that anyone can learn THAT MANY instruments. Good luck learning the saxophone if you do try to learn it, but I personally think that it's absolutely amazing that you already know how to play all those instruments - keep up the awesome work! Very Happy

A friend of mine's aunt is a music teacher, and she says that nobody is tone deaf. Keep trying, and I'm sure you'll master the piano! Smile

Also, what's the colourguard? I've never heard of it. Razz

Well the main issue is I'm used to treble. I know all the notes on a piano, just not bass clef.

We are the people that spin the flags, rifles, and sabers! And some other crazy things too lol. We also dance! It might look easy but its NOT at all! Its harder than all the sports I have done!

Haha, I can imagine. Makes me think a bit of the Spongebob episode "Band Geeks" where Squidward tries to create a marching band. Razz

Anyway, have fun in the colourguard and I hope you manage to master all the tricky techniques!
